I learnt my craft working as a staff editor at three post production facilities across the North of England culminating in 11 years as senior editor at the largest outside London. In 2012 I went freelance and now work across various facilities and broadcasters in the North. I bring a wealth of experience in editorial, craft and finishing to every project with an in-depth knowledge of Avid editing systems. Lightning fast but thorough with a creative eye for detail I am at home at any stage of the edit from offline through to online. In recent years I have specialised in Symphony online where my extensive offline experience means I bring an editorial eye to the inevitable post picture-lock changes. When in offline my finishing skills enable me to solve editorial problems through subtle use of effects to save you time in the finishing suite. I am also very comfortable liaising with dubbing mixers, vfx artists and colourists to help you find the best workflow solution for your project.

I am at home cutting a grabby promo, 5 minute factual feature, multicamera studio show or grading a documentary. A fast, safe pair of hands, I love working with music and pride myself on my attention to detail in everything from ensuring a guide vo is clear and concise to spelling every contributor’s name correctly on screen.
